Roses

On Friday, there was a fatal accident involving a motorcycle down the road from where I live. A young guy named Mark Wynnyk lost his life. I walked down to the site of the accident the next day and saw these roses. They had been placed in a crack of the pavement in the spot where Mark's bike was outlined.

Well, that is just plain sad, Dooode. There's a lot of anguish in those three roses. Very poignant. I'm glad you captured it before they faded and before a car smooshed them.

I've seen many roadside flowers, but never like this, in the road.

Where I live in Florida, this past Wednesday morning, one car left his side of I-95 and crossed the median and hit another vehicle head on. Both cars exploded and burned into one big melted pile, killing everyone in both vehicles. The really sad thing is that this is the fifth time this has happened in the last five years near here. They've put barriers in the median for several miles, but as soon as they do, it happens just past where the barrier ends.

We honour the dead in so many different ways. This photo is sad, poignant, and very moving. I don't know if it's the flowers, the outline of the accident or both.

as a student of mm robinson i stood on the sidewalk and watched a motorcycle come down the street and a poor girl pull out of the parking lot at the wrong time. i stood there just staring and unable to move. i am sure many people around me were screaming however i heard nothing. this man who was unable to talk move or hear was just like me the only difference was that i was breathing. later that friday night i was picked up and told that the man in the accident i saw happen to be my cousins boyfriend.
