Winter Walk
These were taken last weekend up in Muskoka. I'm not sure what the Orange thing is, but it was growing on the side of a tree. Maybe it's some type of fungus? I thought at the time that it may be sap, but I don't think it is. If anyone is an expert when it comes to orange fungus (or sap), let me know!

Joel, these are nice images. I particularly like the one of the tree alone surrounded by the snow.
wow.. wow... WOW what a beautiful set of images!!! i love the sun and the summer, but when i see your pics i think that i would like so much be there!
Great stuff, man.
Great stuff, man.
another cool series...like the lonely trunk
Great snow captures. Great contrast in the b&ws. As my wife would say the Issac grouping it "just tooooo cute"! Great work!!
Beautiful images. I like them all but especially the tree trunk in the white, white snow.
Dooooooooooooooode!
I think the orange stuff is fungus.
Or else your nephew left a can of Orange Crush behind and it froze and burst and the contents flew through the air and landed on the tree.
A very fun colour surprise in the snow! Cool design by God.
I am partial to the twin tree spires in this series, but I like 'em all! Keep shooting, Doodiola!
Be it fungus or be it sap, it sure is darn pretty. :-) Great photos!
Nice ones mang.
bravo pour cette serie, avec une preference pour la premiere en b&w
cheer for this series, with a preference for the first in b&w
wudn't know what that orange thingie is doing there but it sure adds a bout of color to the pic :)
and lovely pics......as they say , all art is an imitation of nature :)
I smile while looking at these images you took last weekend - my side of the world today is hot and sunny and your side is cold and snowing.
Good job on the exposure correct. I have only photographed snow once (as I have only ever seen it once!) and I soon worked it was that easy to photograph!
P.S Isaac is looking well and healthy!
Great pictures.I like the contrasts and points of views.Well done!
that third pic reminds me of a TV serial I use to watch when I was a kid.
That orange thing whtever it is, looks good. adds colour.
You're a towel!
Hi Joel. I followed your link home from Anna's site. I love your view of the world, and relate well to it: I, too, carry my camera around with me wherever I go, and some of my best shots come from those moments when I simply happened to be in the right place at the right time.
I look forward to seeing more of your work, and hope you'll drop by my site as well. I'm apparently just up the 401 from you: I live in London.
