Thanksgiving Leaves

We just had Thanksgiving here in Canada this past weekend. I have lots to be thankful for, that's for sure. I was up in Muskoka for the weekend and got to shoot a bit in the woods. The weather was awesome - lots of good light coming through the trees.

Oh wow, thanks indeed. The first one is my favorite. It has a mystical feel to it. These are all beautiful. Nature at her best.

WAAAOOOWWW!!!

Allow me to be amazed here. You are awesome when it comes to photography.

I wanted to take some fall shots too (my fave season), but we had a sudden chill and now all the leaves are gone :((
(and then there's midterms)

But you are nothing short of awesome!! Wow.. really really good!! It's super cool!

Hey Joel, one thing that I have learned is that simple shots of leaves can really be transformed into something special if you have Photoshop, and using the Orton method for blending.
Try it sometime. I think that may add some punch to these that you did not know existed.

Just some thoughts!

Meant to mention that the image of the stems and the shallow depth really appeals to me, and one of my favorite ways of shooting.

Excellent shot, with a study of lines, textures, color, lighting, and of course, ... the depth.
